Asseco Arka Gdynia left for to Zagreb to fight with Cedevita for their second win of the 7DAYS EuroCup. That plan, however, did not come to fruition, but Gdynia managed to play two good quarters, and yellow-and-blues leader, Josh Bostic (28 points, 6 rebounds, 8 assists, 2 steals, 1 block) stacked 28 points with a great accuracy.

The guests began the meeting with a bang, Bostic scored a hit along with two three-pointers by Jakub Garbacz (9 points, 1 rebound). Additional points were captured by Marcel Ponitka (6 points, 3 rebounds, 5 assists), Adam Łapeta (9 points, 7 rebounds) and Krzysztof Szubrga (7 points, 1 rebound). After the first 10 minutes, it was 19:18 for the guests.

The next part brought a steady attack towards the yellow-and-blue basket. Gdynia's offensive laid in the unstoppable Bostic. James Florence (11 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists) scored a three-pointer. Arka's defense, however, was waivering and did not stop the aggressive Croatians. Cedevita won the second quarter 26:15 and left for the break with a major advantage (44:34).

After the break, Asseco was filled with new energy. Gdynia showed some good, efficient teamwork. The guests were regaining losses, and in the 25th minute, Łapeta regained the advantage (53:54). Bostic aimed a three-pointer moments later, and Asseco was in the lead 64:63.

The last quarter was a show by Cedevita. Supporting Bostic were Ponitka and Robert Upshaw (14 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assists, 2 block), but it was not enough. Yellow-and-blue defense was still not that great, which meant loosing a staggering of 31 points, while gaining only 23. The hosts had a great comeback from the third quarter and won 94:87.

Asseco Arka showed a great potential today. The best results come from a coordinated, team based attack. Solo play is what dooms us.

Now, back to Poland for a long break and on the 4th of December in Barbórka, another strong rival - Polpharma Starogard Gdański.
