Asseco Arka Gdynia has had a good return to the league circuit, with interludes for the National games. Przemysław Frasunkiewicz's team have defeated, after a fierce fight, Polpharma Starogard Gdański 104:100. Yellow and blue's, boosted by a good score, can now safely approach another hard match at Gdynia Arena, against TBV Start Lublin.

The guests, led by the known and liked Slovenian David Dedka, have defeated the table runner up of BM Slam Stal Ostrów Wielkopolski (88:83), and with a balance of 4 wins and 4 losses are occupying the 9th position.

The core of the Lublin rotation are the US players: play maker James Washington (16.1 points, 2.8 rebounds, 7.4 assists, 2.0 steals) and center Devonte Upson (10.5 points, 5.6 rebounds, 1 assist). Both are supported by another tall-short duo: young Kacper Borowski (10.5 points, 3.8 rebounds, 1.3 steals) and play maker Michael Gospodarka (10.3 points, 2.6 rebounds, 1.9 assists). Additional points are delivered by the defensive Mateusz Dziemba (8.1 points, 4.9 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 2.1 steals) and the well known in the Tricity Wojciech Czerlonko (4.8 points, 2.6 rebounds, 1.6 assists). In the "painted zone", Upson is supported by the experienced Serbian Uros Mirkovic (6.5 points, 2.1 rebounds) and our friendly neighborhood giant Roman Szymański (3.5 points, 5.9 rebounds).

Start does not posses an impressive offensive force (78.4 points), but as all teams ever led by Dedek, it does have a stalwart defense (8.38 rebounds, 3.38 blocks). It seems that Arka, with all of it's offensive potential, their advantage in the "painted zone" and depth of rotation, should not have troubles with finding a way to break though the guest's defense.

Please feel invited on the 7th of December, 7:30 PM at Gdynia Arena, to see the matchup with our old friends.
