Between Christmas and New Year's Eve, Energa Basket Liga does not rest and Asseco Arka Gdynia players are off to Szczecin, to confront the King Wilki Morskie team. The match was bound to be interesting, but nobody expected
such high offensive focus on both sides. The undisputed hero of yellow-and-blues is James Florence (35 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal). Also worthy of mention is the high teamwork of Gdynia (20 assists), which allowed five of them to score a two digit point bounty.

The beginning of the match saw both teams carefuly studying the oponnent. The score was opened by Adam Łapeta (10 points, 1 rebounds, 1 assist), quickly followed up by Josh Bostic (7 points, 2 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 block). The lead went back and forth, with Florence being the one to lay the grounds for Asseco advantage. The points were also scored by Deividas Dulkys (15 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists) and Filip Dylewicz (10 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal). Three minutes before the end of the quarter, after an effective three pointer by Jakub Garbacz (6 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist), Arka was leading with 9 points. The "Kings" managed to score some points back, but Gdynia won that part of the game 26:21.

The next 10 minutes saw a drop in form of the guests, and a lot of offensive charges from the hosts. Szczecin managed to gain a slight advantage. They won the quarter 23:17, and the first half 44:43. After some rest, Florence went to town. In just about two minutes he scored 12 points and reduced the difference. Despite that heroic feat, King was still in the lead. "Dylu" stepped in, who together with Łapeta and Dulkys supported Florence. The last 10 minutes saw Gdynia with an minimal advantage.

The last quarter had the hosts spent. Asseco used that and began the barrage. Marcel Ponitka (11 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal) joined the aforementioned shooters, along with Krzysztof Szubarga (6 points, 2 rebounds, 4 assists). Gdynia was scoring left and right. The ending was a nice three point shot from no other than the hero of tonights game, James Florence. Asseco Arka Gdynia defeated Szczecin King (105:94).

A great win. Now, some rest, the festivities of the New Year's Eve, and on Tuesday the 1st of January, Sopot, Trefl and a matchup.
