Asseco Arka Gdynia is back to Gdynia Arena to take on Anwil Włocławek in the fifth, deciding match of the 2018/2019 Energa Basket Liga playoff half-finals. Gdynia won two matches at their own court and yielded two more at the Włocławek Hall of Champions. Both teams are starting from scratch and the winner takes it all, which is the advancement to the finals against Polski Cukier Toruń.

As far as the rotation on both teams is concerned, there are no major changes. Coach Przemysław Frasunkiewicz's team is missing it's US center Robert Upshaw, whereas coach Igor Milcic has to do without Jospi Sobin.

In their last match, where Asseco lost 85:90, Aaron Broussard (25 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists), Russian forward Walerij Lichodiej (16 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist) and one of the more famed Polish players, Michał Ignerski (10 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal) have given a show of their offensive capabilities. Chase Simon (8 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals) showed off their long distance throw skills, along with another Polish player, center Szymon Szewczyk (7 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal).

Asseco has the capability to win the phase, but in order to do so they must remain calm, smart and unified. Gdynia players do their best, but sometimes too much of their energy is spent playing individually. Looking back to the regular season matches, teamwork has always produced more results than relying on strong single personalities.

This Sunday will be a clash of two strong coaching personalities. Let's wear our yellow-and-blue attire and go to cheer at Gdynia Arena, let's show that We Are Asseco! See you soon.
