2004/2005

Third clash was a unique defensive performance of Prokom Trefl. They hold down Anwil to combined 21 points in the first three quarters. Adam Wojcik single-handedly outscored Wloclawek in the stretch. Prokom won the game by 74:41 and got back the home court advantage.

It took Anwil two days to shake off the embarrassing offensive performance and won the second game 77:57 to tie the series at 2:2.

Yellow and black used strong third quarter performance to claim Game 5 of the series, 77:63. Starters led the way to the win: Pacesas (12 points, 4 assists), Nemeth (9 points, 5 boards, 3 assists), Jagodnik ( 14 points and boards), Dylewicz (11 points, 7 boards, 4 assists) and Wojcik (21 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists).

Anwil had to win Game 6. But Prokom sealed the way to the basket with tight defense and didn't allow the best Anwil shooters to score in the first half. Wloclawek was a tough team to beat and had a 2 point lead before the last quarter. Sopot put the pedal to the medal in the fourth and defended the Polish League crown. Jagodnik had 19 points and 12 rebounds, Wojcik added 20 points and was named MVP of the finals.

Euroleague - very good debut in the top European league.
This was like the fairy tale story - Sopot's team travelled to Belgrade for their first game in the Euroleague. They refused to be intimidated by solid and famous Partizan. Polish team tight defense, record 24 steals and eight blocks led to surprising 66:64 win.

Sell out crowd showed up to the inaugural game of basketball Champions League. The opponent, another European powerhouse, Real Madrid. Goran Jagodnik had 25 points and 8 rebounds but it wasn't enough for Spanish team.

Another away game, another success. Prokom topped Olimpiacos Piraeus 77:75 and proved that earlier W and good game against Real were not just episodes. Jamison fill the void after injured Masiulis, Dylewicz and Wojcik combined for 25 points and 19 rebounds, but it was Andrija Ciric who was the hero of the night. Prokom was down by 33:49 in the third but young Serbian scored quick 15 points to get Polish Champs back in the game. He definitely gave Prokom the spark needed to win the clash.

Sopot played well in Sopot but made fans wait some time to win first Euroleague in Olivia Arena. Prokom lost to Efes Pilsen Istanbule (67:73) at home and followed it by defeat in Madrid to Estudiantes (67:75) after these games franchise sacked Jamison who had only 2 points and 8 turnovers against Turkish.

Historic first win came in big style against Euroleague vice-Champions Climanio Bolonga. Sopot stunned Italian Chapmions 78:68. Jagodnik and Masiulis notched double-doubles and Nemeth, Dylewicz, Wójcik or Pacesas were also assets on the roster.

Trip to Croatia was the first bad game of the campaign. Josip Vrankovic team, Cibona Zagreb routed Prokom 88:57, but no one had headache because of that.

Prokom won subsequent game against Partizan 76:68. Tomas Masiulis was wearing a face protecting mask, which didn't stop him on the way to combined 59 minutes, 30 points on 12 of 17 shooting, 14 boards and 9 assists in two games.

Real Madrid proved once again to be to strong and defeated Prokom 76:66, but yellow and black beat Olimpiacos Piraeus in the next round by 77:71 to get closer to qualification. 35 yrs old Wojcik had 5 blocks on the night.

Will Solomon and Henry Domercant denied Prokom win in Turkey, six days later Prokom beat Esudiantes Madrid 78:74 behind Pacesas, Nemeth and Wojcik performance and claimed Top 16 berth.

Prokom split the last two games of the group round. Lost to Bologna 63:71 and won against Cibona 83:78. Josip Vrankovic was warmly welcomed by Sopot fans and honored for his previous years seasons.

Top16 performance went through any significant successes, but it was good lesson of basketball received from top tier teams from Athens, Istanbule and Treviso.
