This year's Pomeranian Basketball Gala has ended in a great atmosphere. The winner of the Pick&Roll Junior award is Mateusz Kaszowski.

The celebrations were held on Monday at the Nadmorski Hotel in Gdynia. The chairman of the Polish Basketball Association Radoslaw Piesiewicz was, among many, in attendance. Awards were handed by the Gdansk Radio to the best junior basketball players in both female and male categories. The best youth coach was also awarded (Milos Mitrovic was nominated, Jelena Skerovic was the victor). Our player - Mateusz Kaszowski - has been chosen as the best junior basketball player in the Pomerenia. Congratulations!

Hailing from Lancut, "Kasza" began his career at the local Sokol club, followed up by playing for three years (2014-17) for WKK Wroclaw. In 2017 he moved to Gdynia, where he is currently playing. As a yellow-and-blue player, he has enjoyed a lot of success during the junior matches, and is often summoned for the Polish National youth teams. He debuted in the League on December 15th, 2019, in a winning match against MKS Dabrawa Gornicza (95:68). At that time, only 14 minutes were spent on the court, with 5 points and 2 assists gained. That season saw him join the main rotation, where he was a replacement for Krzysztof Szubarga. Coach Przemyslaw Frasunkiewicz definitely believes in his potential.

We congratulate Mateusz once again and wish him future success!
