This Sunday, 13th of October at 17:00, Asseco Arka Gdynia will take on GTK Gliwice at their own hall during yet another match of Energa Basket Liga.
Two matches were already won against PGE Spójnia Stargard (76:65) and Trefl Sopot (87:66), making Asseco the runner up of the table.
GTK's situation is quite different. Gliwice have noted two losses - against MKS Dąbrąwa Górnicza (102:105) and King Szczecin (79:81) and are only two places ahead of the last Polpharma Starogard Gdański.
The core of the offense lies in the Serbian forward Milivoje Mijovic (18.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 2.5 steals) and two US players, defender Brandon Tabb (18.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.5 steals) and the tall (194 cm) play maker Duke Mondy (13.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, 10.5 assists, 2.0 steals). Further down the line we got the US center Joe Furstinger (10.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.0 steals, 1.5 blocks). There's also the talented Polish Kacper Radwański (10.5 points, 2.0 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 3.0 steals).
Support is provided by the young (20 years old) Polish playmaker Mateusz Szlachetka (5.5 points, 1.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 1.0 steals) and two forwards, Łukasz Diduszko (7.5 points, 3.0 rebounds) and Payton Hensen (7.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 1.0 steals).
The guests from Gliwice play fast, play hard, with a decent 2-point throw, but do not excell as much in the defense, where the saving grace lies in Furstinger.
The dynamic and hard yellow-and-blues should be well equipped to counter the guests.
Please feel invited this Sunday to Gdynia Arena. The match starts at 17.00. We are Asseco!
