Asseco Arka Gdynia is preparing for another tough match of the Energa Basket Liga. The yellow-and-blues are doing well in the 7DAYS EuroCup, with a Wednesday defeat against the Italian Dolomiti Energia Trento (91:80) and are off to Lublin to fight against Start this Sunday, 27th of October at 12:30.

The hosts are led by David Dedka and have begun the season with an identical balance as Asseco (3:1) and occupy the 6th place in the table (two positions beneath Arka). Start defeated (84:79) Stelmet Enea BC Zielona Góra, (77:66) Hydro Truck Radom, (91:80) MKS Dąbrowa Górnicza, and has lost only against King Szczecin (81:90).

Gdynia are going through each match like a storm. They have defeated (76:65) PGE Spójnia Stargard, (87:66) Trefl Sopot, lost against GTK Gliwice (78:87) and then won once again against WKS Śląsk (85:83).

Both teams are on fire and we are looking at a really exciting match to come.

The main drive behind Lublin are two US players: forward Brynton Lemar (16.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.0 steals) and the well known playmaker Tweety Carter (13.0 points, 3.3 rebounds, 6.0 assists, 1.3 steals). Support at the baskets is provided by two tall players: center Jimmie Taylor (11.5 points, 8.3 rebounds, 1.0 steals) and the talented Polish forward Kacper Borowski (11.3 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.3 blocks). Additional points are delivered by two throwers: Latvian Martins Laksa (12.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.0 assists) and Polish Mateusz Dziemba (11.0 points, 4.8 rebounds, 3.3 assists).

Coach Dedka is a fan of a classic style basketrball and a strong defense, however, this season sees Start with a lot of points. On the opposite side, coach Frasunkiewicz is much more offense oriented, but Gdynia remains universal and are capable of blocking their oponnents.

Please feel invited to watch the match at Polsat Sport Extra this Sunday, 27th of October, at 12:30. We are Asseco!
