This Friday, 6th of March, Asseco Arka Gdynia will take on Polski Cukier Toruń at Gdynia Arena, the 4th team of the Energa Basket Liga. After some rotational changes, the yellow-and-blues have so far been unable to get back on track and have recently lost to BM Slam Stal Ostrów Wlkp 62:63. Before that, the team has participated in the Suzuki Puchar Polski and lost in the quarterfinals to Toruń 71:80.

Led by coach Sebastian Machowski, Polski Cukier has had a lot of injuries, but are back in full force. In their last match, they have defeated King Szczecin 103:73 which should be treated as a warning sign by Arka. Gdynia must be fully concentrated on the task at hand if they hope to prevail.

A big advantage for Toruń are their bench players: playmaker Kyle Weaver (6.1 points, 3.1 rebounds, 4.1 assists, 1.4 steals), Aleksander Perka (6.5 points, 3.7 rebounds) and Bartosz Diduszko (5.6 points, 2.2 rebounds).

The Gingerbread Man are play hard, with a lot of teamwork (22.7 assists) and offensively, averaging 88.4 points each match. Their defense is also notewrothy, loosing only 79 points per match, making them better to Arka's 75.
