Tuesday match turned out great for Asseco Arka Gdynia. The yellow-and-blues played a great EBL match and defeated GTK Gliwice 94:84 right at the Gdynia Arena. The offense leader of the team was Przemyslaw Zolnierewicz (24 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal, 1 block), with Bartlomiej Woloszyn (21 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal) right behind him. Wojciech Czerlonko (13 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, 4 steal) also enjoyed his time, with him behind both the third best thrower and very active in the defense.
The match began evenly, with no team being able to build a big advantage. Zolnierewicz and Woloszyn were active, with points added also by Czerlonko, Adam Hrycaniuk (9 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists) and Krzysztof Szubarga (10 points, 3 rebounds, 7 assists, 1 steal). Mikolaj Witlinski (3 points, 3 rebounds) scored 2 minutes before the end and set Asseco ahead, with Czerlonko and Hrycaniuk further strengthening that advantage, so that Arka won the first quarter 23:18.
The yellow-and-blues remained active in the second quarter. "Soldier" was on the attack, with three three-pointers delivered by Filip Dylewicz (9 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal). Gdynia began with 23:20, but went to break with a high 50:31.
After the break, GTK started slowly retaking ground. Zolnierewicz remained strong, with additional three pointers delivered by Woloszyn and young Mateusz Kaszowski (5 points, 1 assist, 1 steal). Asseco was in control though, and evan with a few losses, they were still winning overall 68:56.
At the beginning of the 4th quarter, Gliwice retook 6 points, setting them at 62:68. In response, the hosts acted quickly and with conviction - Woloszyn first with a long range throw, then Hrycaniuk and Czerlonko. After 1 minute, Arka was at 75:64 and did not yield. Zolnierewicz, Szubarga and Wolka kept scoring, which gave the hosts 17 points ahead 5 minutes before the break. The guests did the best they could, but each time Woloszyn responded from beyond the bend. In the end, Asseco Arka Gdynia won at Gdynia Arena against GTK Gliwice 94:84.
